T-ball

T-Ball 2012
Pioche
This year I was lucky enough to be able to coach Bailey's T-ball team.  Kyle would help as much as he could and I also roped my friend into helping me.  I couldn't have done it without them. The season was only a month long, which was perfect.  Our kids had a lot of energy and it was a lot of fun, mostly. :)
When I first asked Bailey if she wanted to play she said, "no, I just want to be a cheerleader."  Well I told her she had to play anyways.  I'm so nice, right? I also told her if she didn't like it she didn't have to do it again but it is important to try new things.  Well the good news is she had a lot of fun playing and I think she will play again next year.  Softball has always been my favorite so I am hopeful that at least oneof my children will like it.

I think most of our time was spent telling the kids not to play in the dirt.  There must be something fascinating about dirt because they couldnt leave it alone.

Dance!!

The girls were dance this past year.  Bailey loved every minute of it.  She loves to dance and did such a great job!  Sophie, well at first I questioned why I paying to watch her stand around for an hour.  Eventually though she started to participate more and more.

They had a dance recital at the end of their season and I was really worried about Sophie. I didn't know if she would dance, just stand there or burst into tears.  She surprised me and she danced her little heart out. She did such a great job!

Getting Sophie to smile while dancing is a work in progress, but hey at least she is out there.  She was so cute with her blond curly hair.

Bailey did such a good job and the best part is I could tell she was loving every minute of it!

The Latest...

Probably our most exciting news is that we are expecting baby #4, and its a girl!  I am due September 24th, only 15 weeks to go! (15 long, hot weeks :))  You would think I would learn and aim for a spring baby, but at least we are no longer in Vegas and it wont be as hot.  I know it will be here before I know it.  Honestly I have a little trepidation, only because I know whats coming, no sleep, out of control emotions... It will also be right as Bailey is starting 1st grade and Sophie will be starting preschool, its going to be interesting to see how I can balance everything.  I have a lot of loving people around me who I know will do what they can to help out and she will be worth every ounce of exhaustion!  Kyle was hoping for another boy for Dax, but I knew it would be a girl before we even found out we were expecting.  He is excited though, this just means him and Dax are going to have to find strength in each other... Can you imagine 3 teenage girls under the same roof? There are four girls in my family but the last of us were so spread out I had my "teenage" years pretty much alone.  Only Richard had to put up with me, I like to think I wasn't that bad... :)

When we first came to Pioche we moved in with Kyles parents (bless their hearts).  Its actually kind of hard to find places to rent in Pioche.  There is not that many vacant houses and the ones that are vacant are own by the children of parents who have passed away and they like to keep them for vacation homes.  We were lucky to have this home work out for us. It is actually only two houses down from Kyles parents house and the kids love to walk back and forth to Nana and Papa's house.  Kyles grandparents live across the street from us.  I am only about an hour and 15 min form my parents.  Kyle and I both love to be around family so it works out really nice for us.

Bless my husbands heart he has been working so hard for us.  He cleaned out this area and fixed up the swings and made a sand box for the kids.  They love to be outside, it has been so nice.  It reminds me lot of the childhood I had, so much freedom.

My mom watched my kids for a few days for us and while we were gone they planted some pees and carrots.  They are doing pretty good.  We should be getting some pees here pretty quick, that is if the deer don't eat them all.  If you look close you can see that have already eaten my first row... stinking deer.  Oh ya, they have also eating all of our flowers we planted!!

Kyle built me this garden box last weekend and we planted a bunch of stuff for the summer, hopefully it all grows. I love squash and zucinni out of the garden and onto my grill... so yummy!

The House had been pretty much vacant for a couple of years so there is a little "bird couple" that has a nest in our rafters on the front porch.  Its fun to watch them, they will fly to this tree and stare you down until you leave the porch and then they will zoom into their nest.  Bailey tries to tell them not to be so scared, we are not going to hurt them, but so far they don't trust us!  We also put out a humming bird feeder and have been enjoying watching them come and go.  I haven't been able to catch them with my camera yet.

Bailey's kindergarten graduation

Can you believe that Bailey has already graduated from Kindergarten? I know I am struggling with the fact!!  She was so embarrassed when she came in.  She had a fun year and they had a really fun little ceremony for them.  Short and sweet, just like I like them.  Her class actually almost doubled in size this year, they started out with 8 kids and ended with like 13 kids! Watch out I know!

Her teacher is tiny, one of the kids in the class is almost as tall as her! These girls have so much fun together.
Most of her class.
Funny Story, later that day she was talking to some friends in the car about the graduation and she said, "If I had seen myself in that hat, I would have beat myself up!"  Im not really sure where she got that from, but it made me crack up!  You never know what they are going to say!
Yay for Bailey!!!

Easter

Easter 2012
We had a fun Easter.

This kids kind of got spoiled this year.

Here we are heading out for the egg hunt.

In my family we have a tradition that you always go youngest to oldest.

Sophie didn't even hesitate, she jumped right in.
It took Dax a second to get the hang of it but then he did pretty well.  Although he went for the candy more then the eggs.
Bailey loved every minute of it and didn't need any help.  She is the best big sister ever.  Every once in a while she would stop and help Dax and put eggs and candy into his basket.

We bought them a trampoline at Christmas time (black Friday score) and since there was snow everywhere we decided to wait until Easter to give it to the kids.  Kyle had put some eggs and candy on top of the box and at first that was all they noticed.

They finally realized what it was and got so excited.  I know, if we had been good parents we would have put the trampoline together fist.

Sophie is so funny sometimes.  She is very particular about a few things.  I often find that whatever she is playing with is all lined up nice and perfect.  After the egg hunt she laid everything out and lined it all up.  She even sorted it by size.  The other day I noticed Dax had done the same thing while playing with his dinosaurs.
My two little monsters, in the best sense of the word!
