One year older...

Well amongst all the craziness my husband turned a year older, we are now officially the same age, for the next three months anyways. Happy Birthday Kyle!! Your still sexy as ever!!

So Kyles sister just bought a new home and the yard still has to be put in so there are a few weeds to pull and Kimber asked Bailey if she would come and pull the weeds with her but Bailey said I don't have my Dora gloves and shovel they are at Nana and Papas house so I just cant help you. So Kimber went to Pioche for the 24th and she got Baileys gloves and shovel and Bailey was sooo excited to go help her Aunt pull weeds she couldn't wait so Kimber picked Bailey up and they had a sleep over so they could pull weeds and pull weeds they did... for about a half hour :) and then they played! Kimber is an awesome aunt! Her and Chris brought Bailey back home and we all had a birthday Dinner for Kyle! It was actually the day before his birthday. Then my sister Paula happened to be in town the next day and was nice enough to watch our kids while I took Kyle out to dinner, my kids also love her... All of our aunts are pretty awesome. It was nice to have a little time together! It doesn't happen too often.

Then I ditched Kyle and met my family in Midway (its by Park City) Okay I didn't mean to ditch him but he had to work. Each year the boys back pack into the mountains for the week and the girls meet up and go shopping and what not. This year Kyle couldn't get the time off so he missed some of the fun... Like on Thursday we all went on a train ride. It was in Heber and was about an hour and a half ride on this old train that took your around the Valley and then stopped and had "robbers" high jack the train for a minute... which to be honest mostly just freaked out all the kids but they gave them chocolate candy so they were okay in the end. It was a really fun ride. My mom bought all the kids conductor hats and Daxton looks SO darn cute in his, I loved it. I am trying to figure out how I could do a photo shoot with him in his hat. Kyle felt bad he missed that day but the next day we went back to school shopping for my neices and he didnt feel so bad about missing that one... We ended the week with a day on the lake on Saturday... Kyle did get to join us for that one of course we didn't bring my camera for that one, I always forget. My sis and bro in law just bought a boat so we helped them break it in. It was lots of fun, all the kids got to ride on the tube they all wanted to ride with Uncle Kyle, even Bailey rode on it which she liked until the water started splashing in her face. ( If you don't know she hates water in her eyes, its a battle every time she takes a bath, you would think it was toxic poison and not water the way she yells "my eyes, your getting it in my eyes" which I usually reply with "really, you'll be okay and then I hand her a wash clothe to hold over eyes and then the world is right again.) Sophie loved it, she loves to get dirty and she is quite good at it too. She ran around the beach and played in the water then ate some snacks which eventually ended up with dirt on, but it didnt bother her too much, shes so much fun, her personality is just blooming. shes going to be a headstrong little one, but thats okay, I can be the same way on occasion. I thought I would let Dax sit in the sand and let the water slash on him which he was cool with but then he reached down and grabbed a huge handful of dirt and tried to eat it... silly boy. Speaking of Dax he said "mama" for the first time yesterday!! which is his first word! Weather or not Kyle will admit it he heard it too. Bailey and Sophie said "Dada" first so its nice to win this one.. although its pretty funny now that my girls say mom all the time sometimes I wish they couldn't! lol So much fun!

phew...

Wow life has been busy as of late... busy but good. We are pretty much all moved in now, thanks to all those who helped out! For now we are just renting an apt. until we get to know the area a little better. We have been having lots of adventures. I have to say I have been spoiled for the past few years, we had a two car garage in Vegas and now we have one covered parking spot and of course we are on the second floor. It makes it a little hard to get all the kids in and out of the car and then even harder if I go grocery shopping or anything like that. I pretty much limit our outings to about one a day, its pretty exhausting toting my three kidos around. The other day I got brave and decided I would run to Wal Mart all by myself (me and the kids) things started out okay but then Dax started crying and Sophie was pulling everything off the shelves and Bailey was having a hard time staying close to me and we were about half done shopping... So I pulled Dax out of his car seat and put Sophie in it and threatened Baileys life... ha ha... more like I bribed her with the promise of a new cartoon. Of coarse we had to have the huge shopping cart with the two seats in the back, which doesn't have the kid seat in the cart. So Sophie quickly falls asleep so now I have no where to put Dax who is no light weight mind you. So we finish our shopping and go to the checkout. The cashier lady looks at me like I was crazy then she asked me if I had twins, I told her no... so then we head out to the parking lot. For some reason that day I had chosen to park in the north forty .... Bailey is trying to help me push the cart, but shes three... I am still carrying Daxton and pushing the cart. By the time I finally make it to the car my arms are shaking and I am out of breath! and once home I have to figure out how to get all the kids up stairs and the groceries and get them put away with my now screaming children... Funny thing is, I still really love being a mom.
One of the many nice things about being up hear is we get to be around more family. My sister lives about 45min from us and has three little ones that my kids love to play with. We are lucky that we get to spend time together. The other day we went to a "parade preview" thing in Draper. They had all the floats in this big expo center and they had marching bands "marching" around and stage and treats and as you'll see by the pic's below face painting. It was lots of fun. Sophie even held still and let them paint her face.

we love our cousins !!

Oh ya for those who are wondering Bluffdale is on the west side of the I-15 right at the point of the mountain between Lehi and Salt Lake, basically...
We have been having lots of fun more posts to come.
