Catching up!!

Well we have had a busy month. First of all here are a few more pictures of our little guy. (For some reason it is not letting me rearrange my pictures so they are going backwards.) Daxton joined our family on the 10th and he has been a joy to have. He is a really good baby and his sisters love him... maybe too much. This is a picture of him getting ready to leave the hospital.
A couple days later, chillin at the house.

Kyles parents came to watch the girls and Sophie really attached to Papa.

Sophie loves the baby, she gets excited every time she sees him. She just wants give him a kiss and then she is good. It was just recently that she has decided to pull out his Binky every time she can.
Bailey of course LOVES her baby brother! She is the one who named him. We were driving home one day and I asked her what we should name him and she said, "Daxton." or that is what I interpreted it as. At first we just brushed it off, but the closer it got the more we liked it. It really came down to three names and so we put them all in a hat and believe it or not Daxton is the name I drew out. So between that and his sister coming up with it we decided it must be a sign and decided to go with it.

Everyone thinks that he looks like my dad, I have to agree they are similar, they have the same hair line... they also say he looks like Richard, who looks like my dad as well, they have the same hair line... :) Just kidding.

Disclaimer: You are not allowed to pass judgement on my appearance since this is right after he was born.

This is us leaving for the hospital, its so crazy how one day you have a belly and the next day its gone.
We have had some other fun things going on and since we got rid of our Internet and I have been a little busy lately I am a little behind so here is a bit of a catch up. Bailey has been in a dance class and they had there little dance review this month. They were puppy dogs and they danced to how much is that dogie in the window.

They turn and shake their tails in their dance, Bailey loves to shake her booty, it was so cute.

One of our Christmas traditions has been to visit the Ethel M chocolate factory, they have a big cactus garden which they decorate with a ton of lights and they have Santa and you can tour the factory and you get a piece chocolate at the end of it and the best part is that its all free. We went before thanksgiving so there were no lines, it was awesome.
This is Sophie at the end of the tour, I gave her her piece of chocolate and then got distracted and by the time a realized what I had done, well this was the result!
Out enjoying the lights.

That was as close as Sophie would get to Santa. Bailey however loves Santa and he is all she has talked about this whole month, more on that when I get my Christmas post up.

Daxton Paul Donohue

On December 10th, Eva and I walked into the hospital at 5pm, by time she was all set up and ready to go it was about 6:30. Then @ 11:40 pm we welcomed the newest member of our family.

.................Daxton Paul Donohue...........

Daxton was 7 lbs & 9 ozs, he was also 19 inches long. He is healthy and already has more hair than his dad.
Both of Daxtons older sisters are just in love with him. They are constantly wanting to hold him and kiss him. And with those good looks he better get use to it.
Eva is doing very well. She to is healthy and trying to recover from the whole labor thing. She is one great mom.
I am, as people have told me, walking a little taller now that I have my boy. I love my girls so much, but I it is fun to have a little man in the house.
We could not be any more happy.

Due to me getting rid of the internet in our home, Eva will post more pics and blog more when she gets a chance.

Welcome to our Home Daxton we love you !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sophie's First Birthday

Happy Birthday Sophie... I can't believe that she is finally one year old....

We celebrated sophies birthday when we went out to pioche for halloween. We had Grandma and Grandpa Donohue up for some cupcakes and ice cream.
Sophie really enjoyed her birthday cupcake....

She was so funny. After we sang happy birthday to her and she blow out the candle. She just face planted right into the cupcake... She loved every bite of it.

After cupcakes and ice cream we had her open up a couple of presents. she found this to be very enjoyable also... the picture below of her smiling, just makes my day..

For being such a small party, we sure did have alot of fun.. I think Sophie really enjoyed it too. Her sister bailey got a bit jealous of all of sophies birthday presents. But bailey was a really good big sister and showed her how to use all of her new toys.

No greater thing than a good mother

The other day I was sitting at my desk thinking about how much of a wonderful mother EVA is. The more that I started to think about it, the more that I was in awe of here many wonderful talents and abilities. But mostly I was overwhelmed by her unselfish love.
She is every minute of everyday watching and caring for her kids. Not only that but she has to put up with her biggest kid... me.
I wish that there were words to express my love and thanks to her. There is no diamond in the word big enough to repay her for her unselfish acts of kindness and love. There is truly no greater love than that of a mother.

Eva I love you more than anything in this world. Thank you for being such a wonderful mother and an even better wife. I hope that one day when I grow up I can be half of the person you are.

Happy Halloween!

We ended up going to Pioche for the weekend, it was really nice. Bailey got to go to the school carnival, which I forgot to take any pictures of, and then we took her and Sophie around to trick or treat.

I have to laugh because all the little girls were either princesses or a fairy of some sort... and
Bailey was a frog, and Sophie was a Cow. Oh well, they ended up working out really well though, it kept them warm all night.

Of course we had to do a little pumpkin carving. Bailey was not going to touch the inside of the pumpkin at all.

Enjoying the loot, Sophie pulled out all the suckers and put the rest back, and yes that bowl is just Sophie's candy and Bailey had her own. They totally scored!

Memory Lane

Whenever I see this...
I cant help but think of this!

my cute girls!

I know they look totally different but you can still tell they are sisters.... right?

Check out those blue eyes!

The other morning Bailey woke up way too early and I convinced her to lay back down with me, she eventually feel asleep but then sat straight up, eyes open and everything, and started saying, 2,9,6,7,8,14,2,7,9,5,6,7... rolled over and went back to sleep! I am glad that it was an educational outburst, preschool is totally paying off.

I can't believe how much hair Bailey has, it still bounces up to her shoulders if we let it go curly.

Oh, Sophie, what a sweetie! She is like the energizer bunny, she just keeps going and going and climbing and falling and climbing again and on and on.... She has been doing some fun stuff lately. First of all gotta love all those teeth, don't worry we are saving for the braces already!

You will notice in this picture that she is standing up all by herself!! She is such a big girl. She has been pulling her self up and standing for a while, about a month ago she started grabbing onto the doll stroller and walking with it and about two days ago she just stood up and took a couple steps!! Kyle and I were having her go back and forth between us and she was taking two or three steps, it wont be long now and she is going to be on the move!! I haven't decided yet if that is a good thing or not, you can totally see the mischieve in her eyes...

You are probably wondering what is up with this picture but it is Sophie's first ponytail! She has just enough to stick in a hair band, its so cute! and of course we have to accessorize with a flower!

She is SO much fun! I love her personality!

October fun.

My friend Kara and I took the kids to a little "pumpkin patch" thingy just down the road. I think the kids enjoyed it. They got to do a little fishing.

I think their favorite was the bounce house/slide. The tried to go down the slide as many times as they could in their allotted time. Luckily it wasn't too big and Bailey could do it on her own.

Poor Sophie and Jackson were stuck in the strollers the whole time. They just are not quite big enough yet.

Pre-School

Bailey is now in pre-school! Can you believe it! She has been going for 2 weeks now and seems to really enjoy it. It is only twice a week for two hours, which is plenty for now. I was sooo shy, or maybe just indifferent, as a kid I don't ever want that for my kids. I think this is good for her social skills!
Here are the girls waiting to go in the room the first day. The hard part is that it is right during Sophie's nap time so I usually have to wake her up to pick Bailey up.

All I wanted was one picture of her but she want to go play, so I told her just smile and let me take a picture then you can go play and this is what she gave me... technically it is a smile!

They have a fun play area, its the kitchen that first caught her eye.

and this was my attempt at taking a picture of the two of us...ya....
