We are the Champions!!!

Okay so awhile back our stake had a basketball tournament for the men in the stake. Kyle played awesome and was definitely a key player on the team. I told Kyle he couldn't play if he was going to talk trash and cause issues, its not that he would do it to be rude but he finds it funny to irritate the other players but I just find it stressful. So he was really good and rarely said anything to the other team even so he still had people that wanted to "meet him in the parking lot" ... seriously its church ball, but whatever. In the end he "let his skills do the talking" and his team took the championship. I was so proud of him and had meant to post something but never got around to it so... Congrats babe!

But now on to the good stuff! So they followed the basketball with volleyball for the women in the stake. I was so happy, I totally miss playing organized sports even though I am not even close to what I once was it is still so fun. We have been playing for a few weeks and last night wrapped it up with a tournament. So this is how it played out. Our first game there was only three of us there and we played a team of six and just barely lost 20-25 it was a double elimination tournament so that put us into the losers bracket. Well after winning the next three games, two of them in a row, fighting our way back we found ourselves in the championship game facing the team we lost to on the first round. Because it was a double elimination if we were to win it all we had to beat them twice. At this point I was so tired, sadly my stamina is not what it once was. It looked like a huge task! We had five players now, a couple more had come. So we went to work, and some how we did it we beat them twice!! It was AWESOME! Go Laurelwood!! Thank goodness Kyle was there he was so motivating, I knew he really wanted us to win! He told me he hasn't been that nervous in a long time. I know I was totally nervous watching him pay his game! He was not only cheerleader but also babysitter, he was helping with all the babies while the moms played, Kyle you are amazing thank you so much for your love and support!. I am so sore today but it was totally worth it. Now I have a "Stake Championship" to add to my state championships. So just one more time... Go Laurelwood!!!

How time flies!

So I have been meaning to post forever now and I just keep putting it off so I am a little behind. First off Sophie is getting so big! This was her five month picture! She is starting to get mobile. She is not quite crawling yet but she can scoot and roll to reach what she wants. She loves to play with paper and does not like it when you take it away from her.

She loves her sister! Bailey can make her laugh like no body else. Sometimes I will be holding them both on my lap and Bailey will do something Sophie finds funny and the next thing I know we are all laughing its so much fun.

Here is a special moment with her Daddy!

I love Bailey so much she so silly! She is always making me smile! This past weekend Kimber and Chris came to visit and Bailey had so much fun with them. Of course I didn't get any pictures but Kimber has some way cute ones on her blog. You can find a link to the right. Baileys new thing she likes to do is play hid and seek. She will start to count then say "ready me not here me come!" She was playing with Chris and it was his turn to find her and he was calling "Bailey where are you...?" and she would answer I'm in here! Then he would say are you on your bed? and she would yell no I'm in my closet! It was so cute.

We started Sophie on cereal, this was her first time. She did pretty good!

Such a good daddy!

Some play time!

Sophie is actually Six months old now... it goes so fast! These are her six month pictures! Bailey was dancing and making Sophie laugh for these pictures!

Such cute girls!

We had a good Easter too but I forgot my camera as usuall and so I have to get pictures from others, if I ever get them I will post some! And yes I know some pictures are sideways but oh well you get the idea!

Bailey

Bailey has been doing so many fun things lately that I thought I would share a few with you. This last weekend Kyle's parents came down to stay with us and Sunday night Kyles dad was putting Bailey to bed and was telling her a story while she was laying there and she looked up at him and said,"Papa its time to be quite, its nigh nigh time!" Paul said OK good night and came out laughing. How cute is that!?! I have never thought Bailey to be in the "terrible twos" status but at times I would qualify her more as "sassy seconds." Her favorite thing to tell me when I am in her "bubble" is leave me alone mom! I know SO sassy! Luckily its not that often and usually when she is tired. I have been trying to teach her a better way to communicate her feelings when she is bugged. So now she says leave me alone mom please... well its a step in the right direction anyways! Really though she is usually a very fun and loving girl. She loves Sophie (so far) and has never been mean to her she is always trying to give Sophie her "B" (her blanket that she loves) and her toys. She is always looking out for her too. If Kyle has Sophie and I am in the other room and Sophie starts to cry she will run into the room and say, " Mom, Sophie needs you! Shes crying!" and then she runs back to Kyle and says, "its okay Mommy's coming!" I have to laugh a little but I am glad that she thinks mommy can fix anything. For some reason she calls me mom-mom. The other day I asked her a question and she said, "you betcha mom-mom!" She loves to sing her current favorites are the snowman song (that's what she was sing in the pictures below were she is dancing) the Itsy Bitsy spider and the ABC song which she sings ABC, LMNOP, ABC, LMNOP over and over again. She loves to count she was counting everything as 2,9,6 but now she usually counts to five and then adds her own style after that. She LOVES Dora and Diego which I don't know about you but I just can get enough of those shows... :) One thing that has always amazed me about little kids is how easily they become friends. We were at the park the other day and it was just us and another random little girl Baileys age and Bailey came up to me and said, mom she play with me? I said sure go tell you want to play so she went up to her and said "come on, I show you!" and they were best friends after that until it was time to go home. The other day Kyle was taking a nap with Bailey and he got a text message and his phone rang like a door bell and Bailey completely asleep said, "ding dong" and then went back to sleep. Okay so can you tell I love my daughter? She does something that makes me smile everyday and I am so lucky to have her!

All Better!

We went to the Doctor on Thursday and she said everything looks good! Unfortunately this meant she got her immunization shots. Which if you don't know I have a slight fear of needles even after having two babies I still cant seem to get over it. I made Kyle take Bailey for all of her shots I was with them, well actually I was out in the hall, I was with them in spirit. This is the second time Sophie has had shots and I have had to go alone both times because of Kyles schedule. The first time I didn't even try I just told the guy sorry and stood across the room looking away while he did it. This time I told myself to be strong and that Sophie needs me and I was going to hold her and be there for her... until the nurse walked in with the needles. Just looking at them made me sick to my stomach and I got lightheaded and had to sit down. I know my 3 year old nephew can handle needles better then I can! I don't know what the deal is! One of these days she is going to be too big and need some one to hold her well lets just hope Kyle can be there that day!

Gean Luke who is the Lincoln county nurse gave Bailey a round of her shots while we were living out in Pioche for the summer Kyle had an internship out there. She coincidentally gave me my senior shots... lets just say it was a memorable day. When we walked in she smiled at me and said I remember you, maybe you should just wait out here! I guess we all have our kryptonite.
Okay so she has crazy eyes in this picture but I still think its cute! We are so blessed the girls are doing so well!

Catching up!

Wow where to begin, I am soo far behind. First off Sophie is now officially 4 months old! Crazy I know she just grows and grows!

We went to Pioche for the weekend to trade cars, Kyle borrowed the truck for a scout camp out. The girls had a lot of fun and they love being spoiled by their papa and Nana!

Well while we were there Sophie starting coughing, no fever, she was still eating, sleeping and smiling. I was a little worried but was hoping for the best. Her four month appointment was on Monday so I took her in not knowing what to expect...and well she has RSV! Scary!!! I think we caught it soon enough that it hasn't been too bad. So far I have been able to keep her out of the hospital. My mom came down for a couple days to help me keep my sanity. Thank you soo much mom! Bailey has started getting sick too, plus she is cutting some molars, great timing but she is still pretty bubbly at least during the day at night is another story!

Sophie has to do breathing treatments, she handles it pretty well.

I have Bailey do a saline solution one to help and two so she doesn't feel neglected.
We love grandma!

We really are doing well and the girls are on the mend, I hope... we are so gratful.

Happy Valentines Day

For Valentines Kyle took the girls to build a bear. It was a lot of fun! Bailey picked out a puppy, big surprise there she is obsessed with dogs right now! So we pick out a kitty cat for Sophie, in truth it was the one I liked the best.
Triumph!!! I finally got a picture of Sophie smiling, it took both Kyle and I to do it! SO cute!

The girls!

Bailey wasn't really cooperating, she has crazy eyes in this picture but it was the best I could get, she wouldn't look at the camera.

I love my sisters, they are so much fun and they are my best friends! I am so glad that Bailey and Sophie have each other and I hope they can always be good friends too!
