fishing and "camping"

Bailey has been asking to go fishing for ever, so the other day Kyle decided it was time to take her. We live right by the lake and part of our HOA fees pays for access to a Marina.

The kids thought it was a lot of fun!

So cute.

my fair one

Bailey said the sun was too bright and this was the best picture I could get from her.

It was really pretty.

The fish were going crazy, there were a ton of them swimming right by the shore. It would actually freak the kids out a little, they would be right next to them then they would start flipping their fins and splashing water like crazy.

So Kyle decided that he would go all Bear Grills and "spear them." ....yeah it didn't really work.

The sad thing is that even though there were a ton of fish that you could reach out and touch, we didn't catch a single one... it could have something to do with the fact that my kids were throwing rocks in the water, or start screaming, or Bailey would reel in the line every two minutes to check it... if we would of had a fishing net we could of just reached out and caught a ton of them, but whats the fun in that?

We went home and decided to roast some marshmallows.

Bailey thought it was awesome and asks about every other day to do it again.

If you are wondering why Sophie hair is flat on one side, Dax dropped his marshmallow in her hair, he wasn't a big fan and decided he didn't want it any more and Sophie just happened to be in his line of fire.

We ended the day by camping out in our rooms. The kids have these fun pop up tents and little sleeping bags, they thought it was awesome!

It was a great day!

I just thought I would throw this cute picture in.

Easter

For what ever reason it is not letting rearrange my picture, so this post is a little out of order. We had a great Easter this year. The kids were really excited.

They loved getting all the eggs. This year the "Easter bunny" left eggs that looked like cupcakes. Sophie thought it was pretty funny. She kept stopping and saying "hey, mom... look!"

the things that kids find fascinating.

We let Dax open his chocolate bunny, and that was all that he wanted. He didn't care about the eggs, he just wanted to eat his bunny.

A couple days before we got together with some of my family and had an Easter egg hunt.
Some how baby Cache knew right where all the eggs with the big money were.... strange....

After the hunt we let the kids decorate their own cupcakes, it got a little messy but it was a lot of fun.

This time Dax was totally into it. He was having a blast running around gathering eggs!

love these girls!

Living planet aquarium

Baileys preschool class went on a Field trip to the living planet aquarium and we tagged along, it was a lot fun, the kids really enjoyed it.

I love my Sophie! She was having so much fun.

a cool frog they could climb on.

they have an open sting ray pool. I was they only one brave enough to touch one. Bailey would start to reach and then pull her arm back at the last second. I had Sophie sitting on the edge and one of the sting rays flipped up at her and she started screaming, it was great.

Dax was totally fascinated by all the the fish he loved it.

these are two random girls that decided Sophie should be in their picture.

fun pics !

I have really been slacking when it has come to our blog, sorry. These are just some fun random pics of the kids. Above is Bailey with baby Cache.
Oh Sophie, you've gotta love that hair!

one smoothie later...

Our new house!

So Kyle and I bought our first house!! Here she is... we love it and it has an unfinished basement, so we have room to grow as needed. Right now its kind of a mess, with boxes everywhere, I've decided that we have waaayyy too much stuff. This is our back yard, one of the reasons we chose this house was because the yard is huge! almost a 1/2 acre, we will see if we still like it after we have to mow it a few times... Another picture of our backyard. the first one was straight out our door, this is to the right and the next is to the left. This is my garden... hopefully something grows. I do not have the best track record for keeping plants alive. Kyle keeps teasing me about "growing a garden" but I am determined. Right now I have peas planted... wish me luck! Notice the netting, a neighborhood cat was trying to use it as his litter box, so I covered it but it also works well for keeping my kids out of too, although they still managed to get some rocks in and they are constantly trying to put sticks in it...
We have been doing lots of projects around the house just trying to make it feel like ours. We replaced an old gold fan with this chandelier, that I love and we have been painting, painting, painting. Did I mention we've been painting!
So when we decided to paint the ENTIRE house we thought "no big deal just paint," well its a little more involved then I realized and while I love the new colors, if I ever see a paint brush again it will be too soon! Once I get more organized I will post more pics of all of our projects!

Richards Baby Blessing

For those of you who know my little brother, him and his wife just had their first baby, they named him Cache. All the little kids call him Cache Baby. He is the cutest thing, and he loves me the most (no matter what "others" may say). They had his blessing this past week and most of the family was able to make it. We were just missing part of the Walker crew, so add about four more people to the top picture and you would have the whole Wilson family! Did I mention that their Sacrament meeting started at 8:30!
I think Cache makes grand baby #25 for my Mom and Dad.

Such a cute little family!

Kyle + my brothers and brother in law =
well... this!

They just fuel each others fire and they are always up to some kind of mischief. We went to dinner the night before with all the family and they had the waiter send a fake bill to my dad for about $900, you should have seen my dads reaction... those boys!
