apple juice and a pony!

I have been wanting to post this for a while but I have been waiting on pictures. We were able to go to Pioche for labor day weekend and we had so much fun with all of our family! Of course we had to have a birthday party for Bailey with the Donohue clan! Kyles parents were asking Bailey what she wanted for her birthday and she told them she wanted apple juice and a pony. They asked her if she wanted a little toy pony to play with and she told them "no, one that you can ride!" Not too demanding.... Kyle tried to tell them they had plenty of room for a pony in their yard, but they weren't really going for it. One thing about Kyles parents is that they LOVE Bailey (and there other grand kids too.) Kyles dad especially, Bailey and Papa are best buds! She was the first and only one for a long time and they would do anything for her. I don't think they have ever told her no before. So Shonna said I'll take care of the apple juice and Paul you get to take care of the pony.

I don't know how well you can see Baileys face but she got her pony! Not your traditional pony granted, but some major "horse" power non the less! There are also pony's on the car! They were so excited to give it to her it was the first thing they did when we got there. I wish we had our video camera out because it was classic! Her reaction was awesome, they opened the garage door and it was sitting there with a flashing light on the hood, balloons tied to the back, and a big card with Baileys name on it. Bailey did the quick intake of air while throwing her hands over her mouth and then she threw her hands out and started laughing. I thought she was heading for the car but she ran right to Nana and gave her a big hug and then ran back to Papa the whole time saying, "oh thank you Nana, thank you Papa!" Then she ran to the car. They definitely made her day!
Kyle and his dad took her for her first "drive" and when they came back in the house Kyle declared that I would be in charge of all the driving lessons from now on! The whole turning and stopping concepts... well lets just say they are a work in progress!

Sophie is not going to let you leave her out of anything... she likes to go for rides with Bailey!

Kyles parents were able to come and visit this weekend and they brought the car with them, Bailey has been loving it, riding it at least once a day. Its so cute, she will say, "mom I want to ride my pony car." Sophie is right there with her everytime, she is incharge of the radio and horn. Its so cute.
We got to do some fun stuff while we were out there here are a few of them.
At the parade, we also did the night parade, both were pretty good this year, I was impressed, last year... well...

Sophie and mommy

Bailey's partner in crime... if you ever at a parade you want Kimber to be on your side. She made sure that Bailey got plenty of candy.

Bailey loves to pal around with Chris.

Just chillin' waiting for the parade to start.

Bailey slept outside with the girls, that is all she talks about!
They set off dynamite on monday morning to get everyone up and going I guess and it truely sounded like they were in the back yard setting it off, and it wasnt just once it was like ten times. By the time they were done everyone was awake. Bailey will always tell me about when they slept outside and then she will say "boom, boom, boom!" remember mom?
She had a lot of fun with all of the cousins.

The boys played in the golf tournament! I told them I would be their forth person, but they didnt go for it. Even though I am a girl and pregnant, I think they totally could have won if they had me on their team... :)

Baileys Pioche party!

Here are a few pictures from her birthday party.

Aunt Kimber gave her the princess tea set, which Bailey loves! She has been wanting one forever!
Shonna helped me with the cake, by helped I mean pretty much made it, it turned out really cute!

I cant believe she is three years old!

The Loot!
While we were out there Vince and Jordan blessed their baby girl.
Kyle is lucky enough to have five generations on his dads side of the family.

so cute!

Dance Class

For Baileys birthday we put her in dance class. She has been so excited and finally she had her first class. I have decided it is impossible to get a picture of Bailey, she either refuses to hold still, or pulls faces. Ah well, luckily she is a cutie.

Here are a few of my many attempts trying to get just the right picture.

Here she is at dance class, its a ballet/tap class. It was so cute. We walked in and it was a sea of pink leotards. There are quite a few girls in her class so I was unsure of how the teacher would handle it all, but it all went really well.

Action shot... oh ya!

She did really well, I think she really liked it, there were a few girls that started crying and wouldn't go back into class I was glad that wasn't an issue. You know how one little girl needs to go potty then they all do, well I was kind of dreading the potty. I would basically have to strip her down due to the Leo, but she didn't feel the need to join the herd... this time anyways. So that was good.

Every so often she would hike her skirt up to her armpits and twirl in the mirror, but I was never fast enough with the camera, it was funny. There was also the occasional sprawling on the floor, but over all not too bad.

Little girls are so cute!

This is when we moved into the "tap" portion. :)

We were just borrowing some tap shoes for the first class, until I could get to the store. I don't know if you can tell but they are about 3 sizes too big. It was a little silly looking but it got the job done. Lets just say there tap portion isn't really that involved... We took her to get some tap shoes and she was so excited she was telling everyone that would listen to her about her dance class. Okay can you tell I am really excited about this, I have been waiting forever to put her in something like this, that's the whole reason you have girls! Like I told Kyle and his dad, don't worry I will put her in basketball or soccer or whatever else she wants, it doesn't have to be all girly but she needs to get a little bit bigger first, so for now, dance class it is!

Family Times

Every year we have a Wilson family reunion and this year Kyle and I were in charge of it. It rotates to each sibling each year, the nice part is that we will not be in charge again for another seven years! So Nice!! So we thought what should we do... so we headed off to Pioche for a fun filled weekend! While I brought my camera I failed to take any pictures... honestly I know! Here are a couple of the family pictures we took while we were all together, don't mind the writing its the proof, I have yet to order... I know I am terrible. So ya, here is the whole clan! Keep in mind this is just siblings and there children. Needless to say it can get a little crazy at times, but we managed to go the whole weekend with only ticking off one grumpy old man... considering there are 23 kids 13 and under, that's not too bad!

Here are all the grandchildren, my parents have had at least one a year since they started coming, pretty crazy huh? My mom thought this would be the first year without a grand baby... ha, little did she know... we couldn't let her down! Next year though its all on Richard...
We did a lot of fun things including painting t-shirts, a big hit with the kids, playing golf, more for the boys, swimming, which was kind of a bust, it was soo cold, playing at the park, kite flying, craft time, movie night, 23 kids with popcorn, not pretty! We had also planned on paint balling but the weather didn't cooperate, so we had rousing game of kickball instead, the kids dug it!

I was also able to go spend some time with my sisters and my mom, this is why I was gone for Kyles b-day. We all met up at Bernices house while the boys went hiking, Kyle didn't get to go, poor guy, but someones got to make the money! So it was four adults with nine kids in one house and surprisingly it wasn't that crazy... only when we had the brilliant idea to go to target... ya it wasn't pretty! While we were up there we went to the Hill Air force Museum, it was fun and even better, free! Here is the crew, my niece Kelsie loves babies and nothing made her more happy then to take care of Sophie, which I was cool with!:)

My cute Bailey! They have a really fun activity center for the kids where they get to go and dress up and play in an airplane and take pictures, its lots of fun. Here is Bailey doing a little moon walking, notice the "silly face" she loves to make!

Here she is in the plane getting ready for take off! That's my nephew Andrew and my Niece Marissa in back!

The kids had a blast they love spending time together! I think we all had fun, my favorite part is when we got a couple babysitters and ditched the kids to go out to lunch... did I say that out loud?

Mt. Charleston

Our ward had a dutch oven cook out on Mt. Charleston this past weekend. It was so nice! Bailey loved it. There was a huge pile of dirt right in front of the cabin that entertained all the kids, I even let Sophie get in the dirt for a while until she started trying to eat it... silly girl!

Did I mention Bailey loves rocks!? I don't get the obsession, but we came home with a couple pocket fulls. Bailey kept Kyle busy!

This is where Sophie and I spent most our time.

It was so nice to get out of the city, the weather was perfect (about 20 degrees cooler!), the food was good, the company was fantastic, it made for a great Saturday.

Blueberries!

Sophie loves blueberries!!

You know a bib probably would have been a good idea... but ah well!

Bailey was helping me get Sophie to smile, with a little peekaboo!
